SUSAN B. ANTHONY LIST V. DRIEHAUS
Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), a nonprofit, pro-life organization, announced that it intended to put up a billboard in the district of then-Congressman Steven Driehaus.
Happened in 2010, case held in 2013, it was stated as a violation of the 1st amendment freedom of speech.
Judge Clarence Thomas wrote the majority opinion for the court. He said The Court determined that there was a threat of future enforcement even though petitioners maintained their statements were true.
In this case there was no minority opinion because the vote ended in a 9-0.
The justices on the court through this case were. Roberts, Scalia, Kennedy, Thomas, Ginsburg, Breyer, Alito, sotomayor, Kagan.
My case was appealed twice before being seen in the Supreme Court. federal district court, and U.S. Court of appeals.
