In the Western world, yellow means caution and is the colour of 'slow down' on traffic lights, and it represents joy, happiness and hope. Globally, it means happiness and joy, caution, and is often linked with the holy figure in many religions. Yellow's special meaning is that is represents courage in Japan. There are no dark yellows, as black mixed with yellow creates a sickly green colour. A cool fact is that yellow is the most visible colour on the spectrum and it has a high light reflectance value.
