F. SCOTT FITZGERALD WAS AN AMERICAN AUTHOR OF NOVELS AND SHORT STORIES
His writings were writings of the Jazz age.

He is widely regarded as one of the best writers of the 20th century.

He also wrote Benjamin Button, Tender is the night, This Side Of Paradise, The beautiful and diamond, The Love of the Last Tycoon, Tales of the Jazz age, and The Short Stories of F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Prohibition when it was illegal to sell, consume, produce and transport alcohol in the United States

Prohibition started because people thought that the source of people problems and the economy falling was alcohol so then the congress passed the 18th amendment prohibition

Crime went up during prohibition as everybody was still drinking at speakeasies and it also went up because people started to illegally sell alcohol for money

They wore short revealing skirts.

They went to bars alone, which at the time was strange for women to do.

They engaged in a night life.

F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote this book because it displayed fascination with the growing distrust of the wealthy society he embraced
