PRESENTATION OUTLINE

The Cell Parts

The nucleus

The hub. The brain. The big kahuna
The nucleus is the easiest to see under the microscope, as it is large and dark. It controls the activities within the cell. It contains DNA, which controls the cell's growth and reproduction.

Cytoplasm

The goo.
The cytoplasm is jellylike substance that fills the entire cell. the cytoplasm is always moving inside the cell. It distribute oxygen and food to different parts of the cell. It also supports all other parts of the cell.

The cell membrane

The cell membrane has an incredible job. It surrounds the cell and lets in and out a variety of material. Each molecule gets in and out of the cell in its unique way. See link http://www.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/tdc02.sci.life.cell.membraneweb/ce...

Vacuole

It is a balloon like space. it is used for storage of food, wastes. It also stores a lot of water. If the plant's vacuoles are not full of water, it wilts.

Chloroplast

chloroplasts help the cell make its own food, using sunlight. It does this through the process of photosynthesis.
