PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HOW TRASH EFFECTS THE ENVIRONMENT

Cause
There ıs way too much garbage on the face of the earth! There are becoming less and less places to put garbage and less resources to make the things we need. Each American makes 4.5 pounds of trash each day. America has 5% of the 7.125 billion people on earth but we make 1/3 of the worlds trash.

Effects
Now that there is way too much trash, landfills are growing and we are running out of places to put more and more trash. Even way back in 1347-1351 there was a disease called the bubonic plague that was mostly caused by garbage. There was an excessive amount of trash that attracted fleas and rats. Those creatures carried the disease and spread it. This all led back to too much trash. However, that is not a problem today.

Effects
Also, when there is trash in the water the water evaporates and whatever is in the trash (disease, germs, bacteria etc.) goes into the air that humans breathe. Cigarette butts are a very big part of littering. They are everywhere. The chemicals in cigarettes can go into water and air like I said. So even if we don't smoke cigarettes are still effecting our daily lives.

Solution
To solve the problem of too much trash, we can recycle bottles, cans, paper, cardboard and lots more. Also packaging is a problem that can easily be solved. Lots of things all over are packaged excessively. Like if you buy a little tiny thing online and it comes in a giant box and is covered in bubble wrap.
