WHEN IT HAPPENED&WHAT HAPPENED. first the British put British tax on colonists Instituted in November1765. Every newspaper, pamphlet, and other public and legal document had to have a Stamp, or British seal, on it.

WHERE IT HAPPENED

  • The Stamp Act took place everywhere in the colonies, in America.

The British thought that they could get away with taxing the colonies so that Britain would have more power and money.
