PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE SPANISH

Hernan Cortes goals were to search for gold. They tried to set up colonies.

The political structure was set up by two centers of authority.

They had audiences that were educated lawyers. They heard appeals against viceroys.

They showed interest because it was not under
Christian rule.

They differed from them because they did not have a government. They used different ways to get food like hunting and fishing.

The significance was that they divided it so that Spain could claim anything to the west and Portugal to the east.
