Where did they go and when?

  • Edward and Wylie travelled across the south of the colony from Adelaide to Albany

Why did they to the expedition?

  • The expedition was set up to open up a trail from Adelaide to Albany in 1841-1842.

What did the explores take with them?

  • Three aborigines
  • Guns
  • Food, water and clothes supplies
  • Eyre brought along another explorer called Baxter
  • 6 white men
  • 40 sheep

Some important features

  • Two aborigines rebelled and killed Baxter and took all the guns and supplies
  • They met a French ship on the coast so they had a rest for a couple of days.

The expedition took 1 year.
