DN: What do you think of when you hear the term: “British Colonies.”

In addition to the 13 original colonies, Britain had a world-wide empire.

  • Go to the world map in the BACK of the room.
  • Point to Great Britain. 
  • Hint: (aka UK,England, or British Isles)
  • Everyone locate the blank political map handout.
  • Use a red colored pencil to color Britain.

Google search

  • Use your device to locate these countries:
  • Canada, Australia, India, Nigeria, Kenya, Iraq, 
  • and the U.S. east of the Mississippi.
  • Color each nation AFTER we point to it on the map.
  • Now, find the UK Google Search activity on the British Empire
