The explanation is that the Andes mountains stop the clouds from the amazon to get to the desert, causing almost no rainfall

The impact is the human population lowering since the water levels wouldn't be high enough to support more life also there's no way to grow food either
The animals impact is if this kept going on the some animals will go extinct and plants since there's no precipitation
Now the solution is fog catchers which catch fog then drain it into and turn it into drinkable water and they are easy to set up
The temp. Is causing the flamingos to die because of there tolerance of temp. and it's caused by the dry temp. of the atacama

Another reason is the food since they eat sea life and the hot place lots of ponds will evaporate decreasing food
