They both celebrate Chinese New Year, Mid Autumn Festival, and other important cultural events. People eat the same foods and both wear their traditional Chinese outfits on certain events.
The Montreal Chinese Quarter was founded in 1860 whereas Vancouver Chinatown was founded between 1886-1920. The Montreal Chinese Quarter had a rule that French signs had to be bigger than Chinese signs. Where as Vancouver Chinatown, signs would be the same.
