Advanced Cities

Marcus High School is an advanced city because it is more than just a large group of people that learn and teach. The teachers offer knowledge as the students offer the teachers their time to learn.

Specialized Workers

Students and teachers are both specialized workers because students learn, and that is their jobs and teachers teach the students, and if either the children or the teachers don't do their job, then nothing gets done and time is wasted in the society.

Complex Institutions

Principles and teachers are the rulers of the school. They have all authority over the students and what they are and are not allowed to do.

Record Keeping

One form of record keeping in Marcus is the library. Students are allowed to borrow books to learn, but the librarian keeps track of who takes them, and when to return them. Those who don't return the books have to pay for them.

Improved Technology

The entire school is proof of improved technology. Every student has access to their own personal iPad to use for school, and also have access to eBooks and other applications to save paper.
