Jacqueline Anne French is 60 years old. She was born on November the 29th 1953. Jackie was born in Sydney but grew up in Brisbane.

Jacqueline is a historian, an ecologist and an author. She is dyslexic and has been writing for 17 years. She has written over 140 books.
Jackie always wanted to be an author. She has had books translated into French and German or sold in the USA, Canada, New Zealand Australia or UK.

Her first book "Rainstones" was written in a desperate attempt to make money to fix her car. She sent it to the publishers who sent it back and said it was the worst-written, badly spelt and grammatically-incorrect manuscript ever written.

She lives with her husband Bryan in the Araluen Valley in Australia. And has lots of pets. She has a black snake called Gladys, a wallaby called Fred and a wombat called Smudge.
