Honduras is located in Central America and is right next to El Salvador and Guatemala.
The Capitol of Honduras is Tegucigalpa and some cities are San Pedro Sula and La Ceiba.

Mestizos are Amerindian and European and they make up 95% of the population.

Honduras is a little bit bigger then Tennessee.
They own 111,890 square kilometers.
There climate is tropical hot and humid. It is cooler around the mountains.
Some resources they have are timber, gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, iron ore, coal, and fish.

Honduras Independence Day is celebrated September 15. They have parades all day and make delicious foods.

Baleada- large tortilla with refried beans, ground beef, and and veggies.

Women wear homemade dresses with various colors of yarn and fabric.
Men would wear guayaberas which is a white shirt with light colors and is worn with jeans.

LANDMARKS
Some popular landmarks visited by tourists are Copán which is a Mayan ruin, La Tigra which is the first National Park in Honduras, and Celaque National Park which is a Cloud Forest that has frequent fogs.
