WHAT IS A HURRICANE?

  • a A storm with a violent wind, in particular a tropical cyclone in the Caribbean.
  • Big storm clouds around a tight eye heading towards coast.
  • Cause huge damage to coastline states.

HOW DOES IT FORM?

  • Hurricanes are like engines and use warm moist air.
  • As the warm air continues to rise, the surrounding air swirls in to take its place.
  • The whole system of clouds and wind spins and grows.

WHY IS IT DANGEROUS?

  • It destroys states and buildings sometimes.
  • It causes electrical to come down.
  • Large flooding can sweep debris and kill people.
