RENAISSANCE

WHAT IS THE RENAISSANCE ABOUT?
When the movement
began, the civilization of Greece and Rome had long been exerting a partial influence. But in Italy especially, the people began to feel a returning consciousness of their ancient culture, and a
desire to reproduce it.

In the Middle Ages, there were very few books. In 1423 the first printed books were made in Europe. The books that existed nearly all belonged to churches, or universities, or to the upper class.

DEMOCRACY

Form of government in which all eligible citizens are meant to participate equally in the proposal, development and establishment of the laws by which their society is run.

TYPE OF GOVERMENT DURING THE RENAISSANCE:
Renaissance style government was different to Medieval feudal governing.The renaissance was a movement, a period in time which can not be associated with a government since the idea was universal, however under the French Renaissance, the great Nation was a Monarchy.
