How Much?

  • Best insurance value
  • Choosing the right amount of coverage
  • Knowing the factors that effect the cost
  • Based on the amount you need to rebuild
  • Not the amount you paid for it

What Effects your insurance cost

  • Location of the home
  • Type of structure
  • Construction materials used
  • Amount of coverage and type of policy
  • Different Companies..Different Rates
Location: It effects your insurance rates. Companies offer lower rates to homes that are closer to water supply or fire hydrants or located in an area with a good fire department. Rates are high were there is crime, severe weather, such as tornadoes and hurricanes, they have higher insurance

Type of Structure: The constructions influences the price of insurance coverage. Brick homes cost less then a structure made of wood. Earthquake coverage is more expensive for a brick house than a wooden dwelling. Older house may be more expensive to restore, it will cost more to insure

Price, Coverage, Amount, Policy Type: It cost more to insure a home that is 300,000 than a home that is 100,000. Type of policy you choose and the amount of coverage you select affects the amount of premium you pay.

Home Insurance Discounts: Most companies offer discounts if homeowners reduce risks at home. Premium may be low if you have smoke detectors or a fire extinguisher. (Dead-bolt locks and alarm systems)

Company Differences: Can save up to 25% of homeowners insurance by comparing different companies. Do not select a company on the basis of price alone.
