I emigrated from the country El Salvador and immigrated to New York, U.S.A. I was part of the migration stream leaving Latin America and going to North America.

The push factor that drove me to leave my country was both economical and political because there was a civil war taking place. The pull factor that drove me to choose this country was the quality of life because America had better jobs and opportunities.
