  • Get the attention of the panel...cause them to be RIVETED
  • Present a PREVIEW of what your experts will talk about
  • Present an appeal for why you think your resolution will work
  • End with a statement about how you want the panel to vote

Political Expert

  • Descriptions of political groups involved
  • Descriptions of current political problems/issues
  • Political effects these problems cause
  • Maps and other important visual aids

Economic Expert

  • Evidence in data, numbers, and graphs
  • This data should objectively show the issues of imbalance (possible examples: income disparity, #s of displaced people, deaths, # of violent incidents, etc...)

Social/Cultural Expert

  • Identification of cultural groups effected
  • The ways that these groups are effected (e.g. disruption of daily life)
  • Personal stories (for emotional appeal)
  • Must show an imbalance between a groups that "have" and groups that "don't have"

Resolution Expert

  • List of proposed actions to help diminish the imbalances
  • Connections between the proposed actions and the political, economic, and social slides
  • List of outside groups/agencies that could help and what their role would be
  • Intended results

  • Review of the main points from the political, economic, and social experts
  • A review of the resolution
  • An emotional appeal (personal story that will leave the panel with an image) of why this conflict needs to be resolved
  • A statement about how you want the panel to vote
