PRESENTATION OUTLINE

SIX FLAGS CELL

  • I chose this topic because we did a homework about comparing a function to a cell organelle.

CELL MEMBRANE( THE FENCE AROUND THE PARK)

  • The cell membrane is the barrier around the cell.
  • That is exactly what the fence does for the park.

RIBOSOMES(THE PEOPLE)

  • In a cell ribosomes creates the proteins that the cell uses for energy.
  • In my cell ( Six Flags) the people creates the proteins (money) for Six Flags.

MITOCHONDRIA(TICKET BOOTH)

  • The mitochondria in a cell is the organelle that creates usable energy.
  • Since the energy is money, then the thing that collects money from Six Flags is the ticket booth.

CYTOPLASM

  • Cytoplasm in a cell is the jelly- like material that is in the cell.
  • In Six Flags, the green areas (open spaces) are the same as the cytoplasm because it is the open spaces that is nit being taken up by other organelles.

NUCLEOLUS

  • The nucleolus is what makes the ribosomes.
  • Advertisements are what brings the people to the park.

NUCLEUS(THE PARK OFFICE)

  • The office is equivalent to the nucleus because the nucleus holds the genetic material and controls what the other organelle do.
  • The office will tell the other parts of the park what to do.

SMOOTH ER( JANITORS)

  • The smooth ER is the thing that detoxifies the cell.
  • That is exactly what the janitors do to the park.

ROUGH ER(THE CONCRETE SIDEWALKS)

  • The rough ER is the organelle that holds the ribosomes and proteins.
  • The sidewalks inside of Six Flags is what holds the people and gives the people path.

VACUOLE(STORAGE AREA/ PANTRIES)

  • In a cell, a vacuole stores food, water, waste, and other materials.
  • While the storage areas/ pantries stores food and other materials.
  • Both store necessities for the cell/park.

CHLOROPLASTS( CONCESSION STANDS)

  • In a cell, the chloroplasts capture energy to produce food for the cell.
  • While concession stands sell food for the people in the park.
  • Both provide food for the cell/park.
In conclusion, this is my cell project on six flags and how is the function compared to the cells.
