goddesses are there?



There is about 646 Greek Gods and Goddesses.

here are some greek gods and goddesses

  • Aphrodite 
  • Apollo
  • Ares
  • Hades
  • Zeus

who was Aphrodite?

  • Aphrodite was the goddess of love.
  • She was considered the most beautiful of all the female goddesses.
  • She had many lovers.
  • Her symbols were roses and other flowers.
  • Her sacred animals were doves and sparrows.

who was Apollo?

  • God of sun, arts, music, knowledge, healing, plague and darkness, prophecy,
  • Apollo was very handsome.
  • He was son of Zeus and Leto.
  • He could be cruel and mean. His love relationships were rarely happy.
  • He often appeared in the company of muses.

who was Ares?

  • He was the God of war, bloodshed and violence.
  • He was the son of Zeus and Hera.
  • He was described as moody and unreliable.
  • A few of his sacred animals were snakes, boars and dogs.

who was hades?

  • He was King of the underworld and dead.
  • One of his attributes was his three headed dog Cerberus.
  • The Screech owl was very sacred to him.
  • He was son to Cronus and Rhea.

  • He was the King of the Gods.
  • He was the youngest son of Cronus and Rhea.
  • He was the ruler of Mount Olympus.
  • The God of the sky, weather, lighting and thunder.
  • He was a very regal, mature man with a very dark beard.
