WHAT THEY WORE They wore deerskin vests or blouses. The women wore long skirts with beads or porcupine quills. The men wore feathers in their hair, a ring in their nose, and other accessories. They also wore a cape, a sash around their waist, and moccasins.
SHELTER The Iroquois lived in a village with their clan. Their shelter was a longhouse that was made by stripping bark off trees, stacking them up together, and covering it with the strips of bark and mud to seal up the cracks.
THE FAMILY LIFE The Iroquois has a clan mother. The clan mother decides how much of the land is given, and who it is given to. Also, when the men get married, they moved into the wive's house.
