CONSTRUCTION SAFETY

BASICS

  • Safety glasses
  • Hard hat
  • Closed toe shoes only
  • Safety belt strapped tightly
  • No loose clothing

CABLE SAFETY

  • Always disconnect the power before changing the blade
  • Make sure cable doesn't come into contact with water
  • Check cord for any damages
  • Securely plugged in

SCAFFOLDS

  • Make sure it's firmly secured
  • Never overload it
  • Watch out below
  • Remove all debris from scaffold when finished
  • Keep tools away from the edge

ROOF SAFETY

  • Avoid walking on roof when wet
  • Wear a safety harness make sure ladder is on a solid surface level

TABLE SAW

  • Make sure the material is flat on the surface while cutting
  • Make sure blade isn't chipped or damaged
  • Run the material all the way through

CORDLESS DRILLS

  • Check to make sure the bit in secured tightly
  • Never run with the drill
  • Never run with the drill
  • Be cautious of how you're holding the drill, you may injure others

  • Lay the drill on its side to avoid it falling on someone

NAIL GUN

  • Keep your hands away from the tip of the gun
  • Never point the gun at others
  • Make sure the gun is unplugged once finished with it

RADIAL ARM SAW

  • Never cross your arms when making a cut
  • Keep the material pushed against the face
  • Keep your hands 6 inches away from the blade
  • Never cut materials the blade can't cut through
  • Make sure the guard is functioning properly
