REVOLT!

• Since 1607 people had been leaving
• England to go to America for religion
• freedom, new life, economic gain etc

WHAT HAPPENED

• In Boston, Sam Adams and John Hancock
• Kept the colonists in a constant state of unrest
• Groups of armed colonists prepared to fight
• if necessary .
• They stored supplies in Concord.

A SOLDIERS LIFE

• Minuet men were part of a
• Militia and ready to fight
• In a minute.

• Flintlock muskets are weapons the British used
• It was a gun with a sword on the end.

ON THE HOMEFRONT

• Women were forced to house british
• soldiers in their homes. Farm women
• had to do mens responsibilities while
• he was at war, take care of the children
• and house hold responsibilities.

CELEBRATE

• Shortly after the Declaration of Independence
• was signed, the New Yorkers took down the
• statue of King George III, and meted it into bullets

MEET A MINUTEMAN

• A minuteman's job is to be ready to attack
• or defend their town and be ready in a minute

THE WORLD TURED UPSIDE DOWN

• Not oftenly paid, poorly fed and untrained soldiers
• went up against the finest fighting force in all of Europe
• The only time/ only reason they succeeded was because
• of George Washington
