Did you know 89% of adoptees don't want to adopt a black child?

Race Should be a factor in adoption placement because, most children are unequally represented in the foster care system, They sometimes experience social and psychological problems later in life, and possibly may not be aware of their cultural heritage. However, does race supersede a stable and loving environment?

did you know?

  • 90% of African-American children born out of wedlock are informally adopted.
  • Not a large amount of black children are adopted as so whites or other races are.
  • Foster care system affects the child long term and ways of social isolation and family problems.
  • Multi-cultural children in adopting agencies are lacking adoptees in terms of rate of adoption.
