By jocelyn veary

Once upon a time In the 1950's there where the soviet, North Korea and South Korea at war. The war was in South Korea and North Korea.

In this war U.S. And Russia agreed to split control of Korea. The U.S. took over South Korea and soviet took over North Korea. North Korea had communism and South Korea didn't.

There was military action and non military action. North Korea invaded South Korea by use of force. Where as Dwight Eisenhower was elected president in 1952. He went to Korea to show that the U.S. was preventing communism.

In 1953 armistice created an area with non military forces at the DMZ. Here in the U.S. Communist spies were searched for and several people were arrested in the U.S. .

The result of the war is that it changed nothing, still divided , the U.S. Was ready to fight communism. 54,000 Am. Died, and 2 million Koreans and Chinese died.

Still today they still don't get along but many of the policy's are still in place.
