PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Charles's Law

V1/T1=V2/T2

temperature

measure of average KE units kelvin (celsius +273)

Pressure

 Units 1atm = 101.3 kpa = 760mmHg

Avogadro's hypothesis

PV=nRT

Sublimation: is the process by which a solid changes into a gas without becoming a liquid.

Freezing Point: is the temperature at which a liquid is converted into a crystalline solid.

Vaporization: is the process by which a liquid changes to a gas or vapor.

Combined gas Law: states the relationship among pressure, temperature, and volume of a fixed amount of gas.
P1V1/T1=P2V2/T2

Boyle's law: states the volume of a fixed amount of gas held at a constant temperature varies inversely with pressure. P1V1=P2V2

Gay-Lussac's law: states the pressure of a fixed amount of gas varies directly with the kelvin temperature when the volume remains constant
P1/T1=P2/T2
