WHAT IS A VETERAN?
A veteran is any one who protects our freedom.
A veteran is also any one who went in the armed forces now and back then.

THE HISTORY OF VETERANS DAY
World War 1ended and we celebrated. Then President Wilson makes Nov.11 a holiday. In 1954 it is changed to Veterans Day to honor all Veterans from all wars.

THE POPPY
The poppy is a bright red flower and it is found in Flanders Field. In Flanders Field is where solders died. The poppy stands for blood because it is as bright as blood. Soon they began growing in Flanders Field .They began to grow after the battle because the soil was so rich.
