• James and George the second had different ideas on how make the colony.
• George the second wanted to wrest the colony.
• James wanted it to be a place where people could be imprisoned for not paying off their debt.

PEOPLE IN THE COLONY

• Native Americans were the first to become slaves.
• Most settlers were debtors from England
• Tried to convert the Native Americans to Christianity
