"Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening" is a poem written in 1922 by Robert Frost. The poem includes great detail on nature and human relationships with it. The speaker is a man on a horse who stops to observe the woods on a dark and quiet winter night.
Theme
"The woods are lovely,dark and deep.But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep."
Every line is this poem contributes to the theme of this poem;however the last stanza contributes mostly to it. The speaker says "He will not see me stopping here" in line 3. The last stanza displays the idea of self-knowledge with nature because although the speaker is enjoying observing nature he must keep moving."
