• Made of camel hair and leather belt

• Prepared people for the coming of the messiah
• Had people turn away from sin by being baptized
• People by the hundreds came to hear him speak
• Even with large crowds he never lost sight of his
• Mission- to direct people to christ

WHAT HES KNOWN FOR

• Baptized jesus in the Jordan
• He was bold
• He challenged herod to repent of his sins
• JOhn was beheaded by Herodias
• Herods illegal wife and his ex sis in law
