Personification

I like this as an example of personification because stars don't dance, people do. It provides a good mental image.
Metaphor
"Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field,
Frozen with snow."

I like this as an example of a metaphor because he says that life without dreams is a barren field with frozen snow. It gives you a strong mental image of the importance of dreams.
Simile
"I wondered lonely as a cloud"

This is a great example of a simile because he compares himself to a cloud wandering around the sky observing things.
Hyperbole
"There was an old woman tossed up in a blanket,
Seventeen times as high as the moon;"

This is a good example of hyperbole because it's such an exaggeration to say the woman went 17 times higher than the moon.
