WHEN TO CALL 911
- Charred mouth; burned lips
- If they are not responding
- Once they are NOT on fire
- Try hard to calm the victim
- Get them away from gasoline or the fire
WHAT ARE COMMON QUESTIONS WHEN CALLING 911
- 1 Is there a threat of life and property
- 2 Are you or someone else the victim
- 3 Do you or someone else have a medical emergency
- 4 Do you have a police emergency
- 5 Do you need the fire department
STEPS NEED TO BE TAKEN
- 1. Rinse cool water until pain stops
- 2. Put burns in a lukewarm bath
- 3.Apply cool compresses
- 4. Do not use ice or ice water.
- Wrap them in wool or a blanket to stop the fire

HOW TO PREVENT
- Stay away from explosives
- Don't smoke
- Keep an eye on bonfires or any other kind of fire
- Don't play with fire
- Let an adult start a fire not a child
