WATER CYCLE

TRANSPIRATION

  • Transpiration is a process of a moisture that turns into vapor.
  • When its vapor it gets release into the atmosphere.
  • The moisture is usually from a plant or leaf of some type.
  • Studies say that that 10 percent of the atmosphere's vapor is from plants.

INFILTRATION

  • Infiltrations is a process of fallen water becoming groundwater.
  • Streams are a direct funnel right into groundwater.
  • Some of the water that is Infiltration remains in the soil layer.
  • The other water goes deeper to into the dirt.

RUNOFF

  • The ocean is kept full from precipitation and runoff
  • Runoff is when water that hits the ground and kepts on going till it gets to something
  • You know when your in the drive and the water goes down the driveway thats runoff
  • Like on a mountain it rain and all the water comes down (runoff )

GROUNDWATER

  • Groundwater is water underground that is still moving
  • Groundwater is past the soil zone
  • Also groundwater is used for wells
  • That is how people got their water when they were not near water
