BY: RYAN MUNN PERIOD 5 11/6/14-11/10/14

The basics of a Paleo Diet

  • A paleo diet is a diet which is very similar to that of a hunter-gatherer.
  • There are certain foods you can and cannot eat.
  • You can eat these foods: meat, fish, eggs, vegtables, fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs, amd healthy fats.
  • You cannot eat:
  • processed food, sugars, soft drinks, grains, most dairy products, and artifical sweeteners.

HOW STRICT IS A PALEO DIET

  • A paleo diet is considered as a guideline more than strict rules.
  • Over the years the paleo diet has evolved, people have discovered some modern food is healthy.
  • An example of this is you're supposed to only drink water but many people drink tea and coffee.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T EAT A PALEO DIET

  • People on a paleo diet typically believe that all manmade food is bad for you.
  • They believe the healthiest humans were the hunter-gathers.
  • So, if you don't have a paleo diet you will be unhealthy.

MY OPINION

  • I think the paleo diet is unhealthy.
  • You are missing out on lots of grains.
  • Also, eating too much meat will cause you to have a yo-yo diet.
  • So, although this is a "diet", it's not going to make you healthy.

In conclusion, I think that a paleo diet, is a falsely advertised healthy diet, which compares you to the primitive man.
