BY: RYAN MUNN PERIOD 5 11/6/14-11/10/14
2.
The basics of a Paleo Diet
A paleo diet is a diet which is very similar to that of a hunter-gatherer.
There are certain foods you can and cannot eat.
You can eat these foods: meat, fish, eggs, vegtables, fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs, amd healthy fats.
You cannot eat:
processed food, sugars, soft drinks, grains, most dairy products, and artifical sweeteners.
3.
HOW STRICT IS A PALEO DIET
A paleo diet is considered as a guideline more than strict rules.
Over the years the paleo diet has evolved, people have discovered some modern food is healthy.
An example of this is you're supposed to only drink water but many people drink tea and coffee.
4.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T EAT A PALEO DIET
People on a paleo diet typically believe that all manmade food is bad for you.
They believe the healthiest humans were the hunter-gathers.
So, if you don't have a paleo diet you will be unhealthy.
5.
MY OPINION
I think the paleo diet is unhealthy.
You are missing out on lots of grains.
Also, eating too much meat will cause you to have a yo-yo diet.
So, although this is a "diet", it's not going to make you healthy.
6.
In conclusion, I think that a paleo diet, is a falsely advertised healthy diet, which compares you to the primitive man.
