TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES

TELESCOPE

A telescope is an instrument that aids in the observation of remote objects

How does telscope works? Refracting telescopes use lenses to focus the light, and reflecting telescopes use mirrors. I'll talk first about refracting ones. Refracting telescopes work by using two lenses to focus the light and make it look like the object is closer to you than it really is.

Galileo Galilei was the first to use telescopes for the study of of the stars and planets.

IMPORTANCE
FOR US TO EXPAND OUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT EARTH AND THR THINGS SURROUNDING IT

BY USING THESE TECHNOLOGY WE CAN ALSO BE ALERT OR WARNED IF THERE WILL BE A COMET THAT WILL HIT US

DID YOU KNOW??
The earliest recorded working telescopes were the refracting telescopes that appeared in the Netherlands in 1608.

SOLAR POWER

is the conversion of sunlight into electricity,

Did you know??
It wasn’t until the 1860s when solar energy began to be taken seriously through the efforts of a French mathematician named Auguste Mouchout. Mouchout gained funds from the French monarch for his work. Through that funding, he was able to develop the very first motor that runs on solar energy. It was also he who invented the first solar-powered steam engine that he also used to make ice by connecting it to a refrigeration device.

History....
▪️The first solar cell was constructed by Charles Fritts in the 1880s

Uses and functions
For sensing information and communication
Giant mirrors in space
Used to bounce television pictures ,telephone calls ,and internet data at the speed of light

DID YOU KNOW THAT...
The reason why you can see very detailed places in google maps is because of satellites
In October 1957 the soviet union launch sputnik 1 which was the world's first artificial satellite.
The inventor of the satellite died around 2008
