The challenger STS-27 crew consisted of seven astronauts.
Sharon McAucliffe (teacher), Gregory Jarvis (payload specialist), Judith Resnik (astronaut), Francis Scobee (mission specialist), Mike Smith (pilot) and Ellison Onizuka (mission specialist).
The mission occurred on January 28, 1986.
The purpose of the mission was to teach students how objects reacted to being in space.
The main goal of the mission was to educate students on how space works.
The mission was to only take place in space orbiting earth.
