WHAT DOES A HEALTHY BREAKFAST CONSIST OF?

  • Contains proteins, fruits, whole grains.
  • Include foods from at least 3 food groups.
  • Toast, eggs, orange juice, and an apple is a good breakfast.

BAD CHOICES FOR BREAKFAST

  • Honey bun, donuts, pastries, some cereals
  • Poptarts have less than 1g Fiber, 210 calories each pastry
  • Cereals can be high in sugar. For example: Lucky charms
  • Donuts: Basically no nutritional value, high in sugar
