The war finally ended when the U.S signed a cease fire in paris in 1973 war still broke out in the region but north korea's victory in 1975 ended the longest war in U.S history

What cause the war was the policy of containment, the U.S wanted to stop the spread of communism and to do that they had to stop Vietnam from being communist

The riots in Chicago were caused by the anti-war groups that were protesting outside of the convention there were over 100 anti-war groups and the police confronted them which started violent confrentation
