• He discovered the atomic theory in 1817

• In the wellear age, it's important

ERNEST RUTHERFORD

• In 1899 Rutherford said that all atoms contain a
• Nucleus. He came up with this proven theory by
• There he began experimenting with the transmission of radio waves
• went on to join Thomson's ongoing investigation of the conduction
• of the conduction of electricity through gases.

NEILS BOHR

• He discovered the structure of an atom to be in more
• Detail, electrons. Another thing Bohr contributed to was
• Quantum physics. To make the discovery on electrons,
• He used a microscope to put a liquid drop on the
• Nucleus then zoomed in on it to have a clear shot of atoms.

J.J. THOMSON

• 1947, Thomson came along and he showed that
• Cathode rays were composed of an unknown
• Negatively charged particles. To do this he used
• Cathode rays on his exploration into canal rays.
• If we didn't know about electrons, we wouldn't have electricity
