  • They could carry around a lot more things.
  • The first wheels were made out of wood.
  • It made things a lot easier for a lot of people.

THE FIRST CALENDERS

  • The romans use to go 304 days a year.
  • Now they go 364 days a year like modern times.
  • Mesopotamians were also the first ones to think of "time".
  • It only went 10 months a year.

  • The first one was created around 6,000 .b.c.
  • They could make gardens faster.
  • It helps you plant a seed deeper in the ground.
  • It made it easier to loosen hard soil.

  • Sailboats are very important to modern day things.
  • It helped people get to places across the ocean.
  • It helped them catch fish and sea food.
  • It made it easier for countries to trade with each other.

THE CODE OF HAMMARABI

  • Hammarabi is best known for creating laws for his empire.
  • It let the people know what things they could do and couldn't do.
  • The laws were very strict.
  • If you didn't go by the laws, you either had your hand cut off or you were killed.

NUMBER SYSTEMS

  • They used symbols for numbers.
  • It is based on a number unit of 60.

IRRIGATION CANALS

  • Farmers used Irrigation canals to control water.
  • It brings water to places that didn't get much water at all or dry places.

CUNEIFORM

  • It is the earliest known writings to be recorded
  • They mainly made the writings on clay.
