Diagnose or evaluate mental and emotional disorders of individuals through observation, interview, and psychological tests, and formulate and administer programs of treatment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience : extensive skill, knowledge, and more than 5 years of experience.
  • Education : a bachelors degree is the minimum education needed, many require a Ph.D or M.D
  • Training : very few need on site training.

Although physiologists typically need a doctoral degree or specialist degree in physiology, a masters degree is sufficient for some positions.
Practicing psychologists also need a license or certification.

  • Physiologist study cognitive, emotional, and social processes and human behavior by observing, interpreting, and recording how people relate to one another about their environment.
  • Some physiologists work independently or as part of a healthcare team, those who work independently often work evenings or weekends to accommodate clients.
  • The median annual wage for physiologists was 69,280 in May 2012

This is one of my first career choices, and I really hope to look into this more and find out more information on how to become a clinical physiologist.
