A) WHAT ARE HAZARDS? DISASTERS?

  • In my understanding, hazards are things/ that are very dangerous and should be dealt with caution.
  • Disasters are dangerous events that happen in nature.

B) WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF THESE HAZARDS AND DISASTERS TO:

  • a) a person
  • A hazard and disaster can cause a minor to great injury to a person.
  • Maybe trauma as well, if the disaster was traumatic for that person.

  • b) community
  • Communities are most likely to have wrecked houses after a disaster.
  • While hazards could maybe injure some of the people in a community.

  • A hazard and/or disaster can cause many things to break in the environment such as:
  • uprooted trees, roofs flying away, roads broken and such.

C) SHARE A STORY

  • Well, my mom works in a Japan since she's an OFW and there are a lot of earthquakes in Japan.
  • So, earthquakes often happen in her place as well.
  • She would tell me that whenever there would an earthquake at their place,
  • her shelves, drawers and tables would move back and forth.
  • However, she told me that she's used to it considering that she's been working there for years.
