WHAT GREEKS CULTURES HAVE TAUGHT US?

GOVERNMENT

• We have used their type of government
• We let our people vote who's in office
• We use repsentive government
• We let our citizens just like the greeks did, vote for who's in office.

GREEK SPORTS

• Olympics is inspired by the greeks.
• The first Olympics was held in B.C.
• Many teams are in the Olympics, such as USA.
• Boxing is in our Olympics same as it was in the greeces Olympics
• What was different was that they were killing them were we, only fight not kill. Also they used leather and we used gloves.

GREEK ART

• Greek art is very beautiful such as the pot in the background.
• It has shown us that we need to make art or have culture for the human body.
• Many gods have been used as art and we got inspired by that and made human sculpture of famous people.

GREEK LITERATURE

• They had made a alphabet that stood for sounds like our alphabet.
• That alphabet helped them keep records like ours helps us make words out of letters.
• Homer is a greek poetry artist who wrote Iliad and the Odyssey and inspired great poets like Shell SilverStein.
