- If a man has accused another of laying a Nertu

- He shall be put death.

- Was a strict ruler.
- His goals were to cause justice to prevail in the land/
- To destroy the wicked and evil
- And that the strong may not oppress the weak.
HAMMURABI
- He was a very ambitious ruler.
- This is shown when he tried to get everyone in his empire to know
- The legal principles his government would follow.
- However, most people in this time could not read or write.
- These people would not know the codes he put into place.
