ST BERNADETTE

She was born January 7 1844 in Lourdes France. On April 16 1879 she died in Sainte Croix Infirmary of the Convent of Saint-Gildard. Her feast day is April 16.

• When she was younger she went to get firewood and encountered Mary.
• Mary told Bernadette to dig a hole and a water-spring started. Many miracles have happened because of this water.
• She had asthma and digestive problems her whole life.

She became a saint because some her acts that she performed. Her encounter with mary was one and becoming a nun. She stayed religious her whole life. She never worried about the fame from the outside people.
