Mesoamerica
Mesoamerica was in the middle of America. They started as hunters and gathers but discovered that seeds grow into food, since they had rich volcanic soil. The people were called Olmec. The Olmec traded food for jewels and other metals.

Teotihuacan
These people were the first people to plan out a city. They were the inland people, which is near present day Mexico. They seized control of trade. They lived near lake texcoco.

Cuzco
The capital of the incas, in the mountains of present day Peru. Cuzco was a river valley, that was over 10,000 feet in the air.

Cahokia
The Mississippians lived here. This was the Mississippians largest city, with 30,000 people. Cahokia was in the Mississippi River valley. The Mississippians farmed corn, beans, and squash. They often lived on mounds of dirt.
