The Chernobyl accident happened on April 26th, 1986. When a reactor of a nuclear power plant exploded.

This placed the nearby environment into a state of disrepair. Everyone was evacuated.

However, despite the radiation Chernobyl has seen a vast growth of biodiversity because all of the humans have left.

The negative effects of the radiation in Chernobyl

  • The area of Chernobyl has gone into a state of fallout.
  • Contamination of ground water.
  • Burned vegetation.
  • Humans left there have cancer
  • Radiation has contaimnated everything in chernobyl.

The positive effects of Chernobyl

  • The mice in the region are now invulnerable to radiation
  • Vast biodiversity.

There are not many plans or ways to fix Chernobyl but scientists are trying to discover a way of getting rid of radiation.
