I live with my parents and two younger brothers, Lars and Finn. Lars is in seventh grade and Finn is in fifth. They both play travel hockey for the Boston Advantage, so my family is pretty busy!
I play oboe and clarinet in school band, and I am part of chamber winds and jazz. Band is my favorite class, and this year I'm sitting next to one of my close friends, the first alto player!
My favorite groups to play in are full symphony orchestras and pit orchestras. I will be in the pit for "Hello, Dolly!" this fall, probably doubling or tripling instruments.
I play softball in the spring. My favorite position is shortstop, and I usually bat leadoff. We didn't have a very successful season last year, but hopefully we will be able to turn that around next season!
This year, my softball captain convinced me to join cross country by bothering me about it at every practice, and I love it! So far, we've had one meet where we beat Pembroke at home.
Set It Off is my favorite band. They're a punk rock group. If you haven't heard of them, I'd describe their music as similar to Fall Out Boy, but dialed up one notch.
My family and I went to Ocean City this year with our cousins and stayed at our grandparents' apartment, right on the beach. The adults ate famous Maryland crabs. (I did not, I really don't like them.)
I also went to a farm in Ohio to help with a children's summer camp. We milked goats, kept the barn tidy, mucked stalls, and took care of all the animals.
To finish off our summer, we spent Labor Day weekend visiting our other grandparents in East Orleans, MA. Sadly, I couldn't spend as much time on the beach as I did inside finishing summer work.
