PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WHY DO WE HAVE SEASONS?

WHY IS OUR AXIS IMPORTANT?

WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT SEASONS MIGHT NOT BE TRUE!!!

WHY IS OUR AXIS IMPORTANT

  • It gives us our seasons!

Most people think that our seasons come from being closer to the sun than other times. You are wrong!!!!
The reason is, because our axis is at an angle the sun light is more direct than at other times.

WHY IS DIRECT LIGHT IMPORTANT?

Have you ever noticed that when you shine a flash light directly at some thing there is a greater amount of light than when you are shining it at an angle?

IT IS THE SAME THING WHITH THE SUN!!

The sun gives off light, in the form of heat.

Some people believe that the Earths axis puts throughout the year. That is not true. The Earth's axis is always at 23.5*, and points towards Polaris.
